Appointment Booking Update

New Appointment Request and Triage System

As outlined in our recent practice newsletter, we have introduced a new triage system for all appointment requests.

Like many GP practices across England, we are committed to making the best use of our available appointments so that we can provide timely and appropriate care to as many patients as possible. Every request is reviewed and prioritised according to clinical need, ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time. This may not always be a GP appointment.

How to request an appointment

Patients can request an appointment in any of the following ways:

  • Complete our online request form via the practice website. Click here to request an appointment
  • Use the NHS App to submit your request. (A guide explaining how to do this is attached below.)
  • Phone or visit the practice, where a member of our reception team will complete the same request form on your behalf.

We encourage patients to use the online form whenever possible, as this is often the quickest and most convenient way to submit a request. However, we recognise that this may not be suitable for everyone, and our team remains available to support patients who are unable to access online services.

This updated approach ensures that all patients are treated fairly and consistently, with appointment requests assessed and prioritised based on clinical urgency rather than the order in which they are received.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to improve the way we deliver care.
