Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for menopause symptoms
DHC Talking Therapies is an NHS service available to all our patients aged 17 years and over.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is now widely recognised as a way to reduce the physical and psychological symptoms of menopause, alongside or as an alternative to HRT.
You can refer yourself to a group course online where you will learn effective coping strategies based on CBT in a supportive environment.
NICE guidance recommends that CBT is offered alongside HRT as an option to reduce the frequency and severity of physical symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats and insomnia.
